Our conference this year is on the theme of Partnerships. As always it will be a fairly informal event and we will be keeping the sitting down and listening to a minimum. Lots of opportunities for the weekend for riding bikes, drinking beers, discussions and plenty of informal debate.
Your registration includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and supper at the Southern Cross on Saturday evening. Also included is membership of Trail Fund NZ so that you can vote at the AGM.
Friday 9th September
Friday afternoon (time TBC) –meet for a trail ride at / around Makara Peak MTB Park, options for all skill levels and fitness levels. We will split into groups with some venturing onto the technical trails in the area and plenty of options for everyone else!
Friday evening – come along to the Ales for Trails at the Hop Garden bar, Pirie St, Mt Victoria, drinking good beer to raise $$$ for Wellington MTB Club.
Saturday 10th September 8:30am – 2pm
ASB Centre, Kilbirnie (kindly hosted by Wellington City Council)
Come along to hear panellists on topics related to Partnerships including:
- E-MTB bikes
- Opportunities and challenges for MTB on public conservation land
- Partnerships in the Wellington region
- Land managers’ perspectives
- Volunteer health and safety
Saturday 2:30pm until dark
Ride over from the ASB Centre for a trail ride at Mt Victoria, including opportunity to try an e-bike.

Trail Fund AGM – The Business End
Our AGM is coming up on the weekend of 9-11 September in Wellington as part of the Trails Conference.
The AGM will take place on the Saturday evening at the Southern Cross Bar, to be followed by a social evening. Arrive from 6:30pm, meeting start 8pm. Your Trails Conference registration includes entry to this. For others, $20 gets you entry and food. It is a chance to catch up on the last year’s happenings, and discuss what promises to be an exciting year ahead.
Trail Fund NZ is an incorporated society with charitable status, and thus needs to have a current membership register. If you have purchased something from the Trail Fund Store in the last 12 months (t shirts, bottles, stickers etc) you are eligible for a free membership . You can also join for $15 and get some free stickers.
Our core Committee is Wellington-based, and our Advisory Board are scattered around the country. At present, we have a settled Committee and Board, but expressions of interest for involvement are always welcome.
